The Magic Lamp

If I had a magic lamp, I would hold it in my
hands; I would gently rub it and make my three wishes.

The first wish I would make is that there be peace on
earth, love and happiness for all.

My second wish would be friendship with you forever,
as I would never want to be without.

But my third wish is that somehow you see how I feel
about you in my heart.

I shake the thoughts of you
out of my mind again
I don't know what's happening
to me.

Why do I dream of you?
Why do I wish you were here?
Why do I still long to see you, hear from you?
Why do I wish you were near?
I would love to touch you, kiss you, hug you

I'm so infatuated with you
But I want that feeling to end
I know you don't feel the same
I just want my heart to mend

I hide all these feelings from you, although not so
well
I keep them all locked up inside, and I ask for help
At least I have someone to confide, she tells me to
move on
she says your heart is taken, as I know all to well

I wish it was succeeding
I think my heart is crying

At least I have the guts to say
how I feel about you
I wished that you felt the same
that you cared for me too, more then just a friend.

I guess all I can do
is just let go
Maybe this feeling isn't real
But I'll just let things flow

I wish you could at least say
that I am not a bad person for feeling this way

I don't know what to do about me anymore
I need to just let go

I have so many dreams and goals
I just want to share with someone like you

My third wish was that somehow you see how I feel
about you in my heart
You just made my wish come true
I really care about you, and I think I always will.
