Don't let love transform

by silence kills   Jan 11, 2008

Don't let love transcend into a fleeting agony
When the words you wish for disappear
Let it become a whim of something not meant to be
Search again; or your heart will beckon fear
Don't let love transcend into a fleeting hate
When the touch, once yours, warms another hand
Let yourself look for a new warmth that won't fade
Try again; let your uncertain eyes expand
Don't let love transcend into a fleeting past
When the one you long for is far too gone
Lift your head from the basking darkness
Look again; you'll see the rising dawn
Let love transcend into a fleeting destiny
When it's something so pure and fragile
Slow down and listen to the unheard whispers
They'll say it too: let it all become a will

Hold on when the future is smiling
But don't be afraid to let go if it doesn't last
With waiting, your time will come
Just let go of your unstable, waking, past
