A Poem

by Laloser05   Jan 15, 2008

A poem for forever,
A poem that won't die.
A poem that will be there,
A poem that won't lie.
A poem that won't run,
A poem that won't hide.
A poem that will stay,
A poem you can keep inside.
A poem that won't haunt you,
A poem that won't scare.
A poem that's neutral,
A poem that's a prayer.
A poem for a love,
A poem for a friend.
A poem for your family,
A poem for the end.

Love is simple,
Until it gets confusing.
Hate is confusing,
Until you open your eyes.
Love can hurt you,
And repair your injuries.
Hate can cause madness,
And cause nothing but misfortune.

The facts of life are clear,
But everyone is blind to them.
What we do will effect the future,
Now we have the power to change.
Everything comes down to free will,
Not some fraud messiah.

So while we've got the days to say it,
While we've got the hours to spend.
I'll be here, right beside you,
Until we meet our end.

Author's Note:
OK,
It has no structure,
And many may say it doesn't make sense.
But it comes from the heart. So. Yeah.

    Wow wow wow.
Probably one of the most beautiful poems I've read, ever.
I didn't understand it the first time through, and I'm glad I read it again. There are so many ways to interpret this. Love it! 5/5

Anything that comes from the heart is special. Cherish it. Embrace it.

Keep sharing your thoughts with the world, it feels better.
