In the Eye of...

by Armada the Gestalt   Jan 29, 2008

I told you to listen,
But you wouldn't hear your name,
Everytime I call out,
We know it's the same,
Can you really hear,
Or is it just a game?

But you just turn all the lights out.

Can you see me now,
Or are you blinded still?
I stand right here before you
Why can't you find
The answer,
Hidden here,
Within these brightly darkened halls;

You know the mirrors all want you.

I'm a whisper;
Slipping through your hands
I know you want me,
Can you see me?
Hear me;
No.

Is it you or I that walked across this hole?

Can you taste me,
Perching on the end of your tongue,
I dissolve now
I'm gone now; you waste it all.
Are we yet alive
Forgotten
Or just insane,
Because I see now,
I'm coming back to help you cry.

Did I taste bitter?
No.
I can't do that now can I?
We all know I'm just too sweet,
Too soft,
Too god damn lawful!

Do I still love you?
Well, do you protect me?
Can I hate you?
Well, can I heal you?
You're broken,
And that's the way we, both need it,
Because if I fixed us,
We both know we'd snap in half.

I told you to watch out,
But you wouldn't hear me scream.
