Letters To Lovers Part Two: Words Work Worse

by Ashes of a Black Rose aka Night Child   Feb 6, 2008

If a picture's worth a thousand words,
then i'll make that my goal.
i'll write about the one of you,
& boy, i'm on a roll.
i'll write the tale behind the pic,
the things that they don't know,
i'll spill all of those great details
& it just goes to show:
pictures don't do justice,
not a blessing nor a curse,
actions speak much louder,
& words just work way worse.
It's the moment that i cherish,
the memories i save
(& the best of them happen to be
when we do not behave).
Let us take this moment
& find a frame to fit,
let's capture this forever,
i swear i won't forget it.
If i could play these moments,
i'd put them on rewind,
i'd re-live every second
of our love so hard to find.
It's something we can't duplicate,
no way to cut & paste,
so let us promise here & now
to not a moment waste:
to thank life's crew & thank its cast,
never to regret the past,
to live each moment like our last,
to live it free & live it fast.
We'll be legends of our world,
the story of our time,
this simple little ballad,
our epic tale of rhyme.

*at this point, im totally in love with Dane. Everything was going right, and i've never been more in love. and then, things got totally screwed over... see part three.
