What a heart breaking poem. Things must get very hard for those left alone while their love is fighting for their country. Then think how much harder it would be for the soldier. They have to leave everything love, family, and friends. The poem brought tears to my eyes.
    Good job!

Well, receiving a letter such as this would make a man grieve less, Kelleyana:)

Very beautiful how you worded this, but I am glad to know it is just a poem, and not reality!

We have had our fair share of happiness and now you and I are all the past. All memories of you and I are all escape from my thoughts. That simple because true happy moments will never be possible from now on, when the magical moments has long gone. Harsh it may seem but I want both of us to be happy. If I can't feel it in my heart, neither can I give you what you truly deserve.

    ^^

If all people dared to be this honest, this world would be a far, far better place.

    Je t'embrasse

Sounded like it was hard for the protagonist of the poem to say those things, but she realized she had to let go of what caused her pain and finally find happiness.. Inspiring, good job.
