I never thought I'd see the day,
That you and I would go our separate way,
All those times we said hey,
Spending time along the bay,
Snugged up under skies blue and grey,
A love with no definite weigh,
Having all the sweetest things to say,
Could have written a million word essay,
All that we had until today.
And although they may have perish,
All those things and more I'll cherish,
I never will forget,
The day we met,
Boy I'm gonna miss you,
And a love I thought was true.
