Who is that?

by Deathwish   Sep 23, 2014

I feel like this isn't mine
My body
Every time I look in a misty mirror
I see a stranger staring back
I am not ready
Not ready to grow up
Not ready to live outside
Not ready for the murdering beauty of the world
I look into the mirror
and expect a different face with different eyes
When I look into a mirror I expect familiarity
But find None

Gorgeous, deep, soulful, these are but a few words to describe this poem, it's a wonderful and successful piece that many people could and would relate to, especially during the transition from adolescence to adult, it is a very frightening time for many people and you have portrayed the fear and confusion of one's identity so incredibly well in this poem!!!!

What's left is what remains as truth. The best you've got, is that within. Appreciate the available. And keep bringing these little wows..
