Goddess of Death, I swore
that I would remember
until far beyond the limited distance
my bones could hope to carry me through,

Goddess of Death, I swore
to never become a part of it,
the unending chaos twisting
and turning inside her skull.

Goddess of Death, I swore
that I would listen to fate
when she sang your songs,
until the choirs of their madness
crumbled,

ushering an annihilation that stood still in,
and left us the opportunity to recreate.

Goddess of Death, I swore,
but your voice echoes off-beat:
I can't dance to your music,
and I can't love your fading touch.

Goddess of Death, I swore
that I would remember.
That I would remember,
for forever.

Goddess of Death, I swore
that I wouldn't let your grip
keep me chained to the fate
of watching hate take away
the pain.

Goddess of Death, I swore,
But I failed - I've broken the oath.
I can feel all of it slipping away,
fading into oblivion.

Goddess of Death, do as you please.
And then return me to that same oblivion
where you made me abandon the future,
and any trust in fate I had left.

Goddess of Death, take me
to where you made me
abandon all my love
for living - and her.
