Someone From Above

by Vincent Thornsberry   Jan 31, 2015

Lost and alone I wander,
Hither and over yonder.
When will I find someone to love?
Sent to me from above.

Someone to laugh, someone to cry,
and together, with me fly,
High above the ground so low,
Where time flows fast, yet so slow.

Someone to touch, and hold me close,
And to give the needed dose,
Of tender and loving care.
For I can no longer bear,
Shouldering this massive weight.
Feels like I'm hauling loads of freight.
I feel so lost and alone,
Paying for crimes I can't atone.

Searching, searching forever more,
Trying hard to swing wide the door.
To be open once again
I'll keep trying, but till then...

Lost and alone I wander,
Hither and over yonder.
When will I find someone to love?
Sent to me from up above.
