Last Snowflake

by Baby Rainbow   Apr 17, 2015

Winter is finally over,
yet blood remains in the snow.

Shadows cast over my heart
as I no longer feel alive.

Delayed shock is touching time
as I now realise just how much
you broke my heart with your betrayal.

Your false love disguised beneath
beautiful snowflakes of vicious lies
and heartless hugs,
snowflakes I let myself fall for.

And who would have known
that would have been
the last snowflake
my eyes ever saw.

No one saw it coming,
that I would be the next snowflake
left alone beside the sun.

A lot of disappointment, hurt and grief not to mention the betrayal. You described it so well. Very deep write.
