The Ugly Chips

by Baby Rainbow   Dec 29, 2015

You expect the damage
to be gone with the past,
even though great chips
still appear on my heart.

Only I know
that I was only halfway to healing,
almost there but still in deep trouble.

I don't know where I will be tomorrow,
but I know I can't forgive and forget
all of my past that quickly -
like you have forgotten me.

I am sorry for being imperfect,
sorry that I can't repair the chips
that were too ugly for you to love.
