Hotel For Hearts

by Baby Rainbow   Feb 7, 2016

I wish you could cover your heart
and protect it from the pain
which you choose to expose it to.

I wish I could find shelter
when the wind of betrayal starts blowing
and tears of regret start flowing.

I become trapped in the darkness,
faking a smile as I try to find
the broken pieces of my heart.

And I wish I could fine a hotel
for hearts to stay,
whilst you try to piece them back together,
and at the same time,
try to stop love from shattering what remains.
