Let go

by Karlo Payno   Jun 24, 2016

To let go seems the worst thing to do,
like being asked to give up on the things that makes us happy, to set aside the dreams and plans I built,
being you as an inspiration
To let go of her hurts, as much as being slowly killed, slowly decaying.
How can I let go and forget if the memory we had keeps running in my mind.
yet I wonder how can a cherished memory hurt me this much?
To let you go with all my heart is all I can do
To face tomorrow on my own, even how much
I miss your smile, our talk, and the things we had.
To let go, even how much it hurts has it it good sides,
to reflect on how things can work out, to finally be free after the rain I endured.
To let go means to start anew chapter in order to start the next one.

Letting go of anything specially of what we love is tough,
but at least in this poem the narrator seems to be one of logical thought. He/she seems to be addressing the pro's and the con's of letting go.
