How does it feel without me?
Are you constantly avoiding the thought of me,
or are you so glad that you left me
that I never even cross your mind?

You were alas trying to fix
the permanent brokenness inside of me,
while I was always trying to hide the tears
from knowing you would never succeed.

I try so hard to ignore the hurt
when I question if you ever loved me, or not -
you told me, but never really showed me.

The answer seems to lie in the fact
that you just quickly slipped away,
never once looking back my way.
