LIVE, LOVE, DIE

by Casey Dillard   Feb 7, 2008

Lightning paints the sky, in a streak of blinding white
Intertwining patterns, in the darkness of the night
Validates my feelings, that were here for a purpose
Everything we do, while we live, is not worthless

Laying on my back outside, trying not to cry
Overwhelmed by rain and stars, dancing in the sky
Vulnerable fragile memories, of passion in my past
Everlasting kiss of bliss, turns to nothing that can last

Diminishing all my thoughts of you
I lay outside and cry
Every life or love I've had, has faded out and died
