Firewall

Firewall.
Will you let me through?
And let me do what I need to do?
And whisper a gentle coo . . .
There is more I need to tell you.
Don't you understand?
I'm fading away into the sand.

Firewall.
You sparkle in my eye.
I ask you not to be so shy,
But to go for the coy and sly.
I don't want to say goodbye.
So just sit with me
And all we'll do is dream.

Firewall.
Promise me you'll wait.
Even through the rages of hate.
I'll meet you at the iron gate.
To ask that man to determine fate.
He won't go away.
Let's just leave him for another day.
Firewall.
