Letter to a mother

by Four Letter Lie   Feb 11, 2008

Dear mum,
I needed to know that you love me,
but I was second best.
Now I am a different girl,
I don't play silly games anymore,
You changed Me.

I forgot about my childhood,
But when I think back,
You always loved my brother more.

But I know now,
I wasn't a pretty little girl,
I didn't dress right.
I thought differently.

My school said I was talented,
But you constantly put me down,
I guess I'll never be good enough.

I am growing tired and suffering from you insults,
I can't under stand but all I know is,
You don't accept me.

You didn't help me when i first cut,
Now I watch myself bleed every week.
See what you've done to your daughter?

I hope that when I'm older,
You'll finally realize what your doing to me,
But for now I suffer silently.
So much for everyone being equal.

Lots of love,
You daughter.
