Truly Living Life

by Richard Alan   Feb 13, 2008

Do you ever just sit back,
Being thankful that you're here,
Encircled in disaster,
Yet still none the worse for weir,

Can you appreciate the wind,
Be truly grateful of a sky,
Breath in all it's beauty,
As if tomorrow you would die,

When you witness a sunset,
Do the colors paint your soul,
Bursting through your heart,
Joy unable to control,

Would you free a joyful tear,
As the weeping willows sway,
Looking toward tomorrow,
Yet still bewildered by today,

Could you truly live through pain,
But take the agony inside,
And use it to face your fears,
When all else would run and hide,

Will you find someone of worth,
Who defines the very word,
And open up your heart,
Speaking with words you've never heard,

Should you look into their eyes,
And finally feel yourself set free,
Do you possess the courage,
To make that dream reality,

Wont you cherish every breath,
In this life that you'll receive,
So when it's finally over,
You'll feel like you can believe,

That you are one of the few,
Who in the end can truly say,
You know you lived this life,
Every minute of everyday!
