Waiting game

by Janniieee   Feb 13, 2008

We sit here.
side by side.
one earphone each.
we listen to songs
from our favorite 90's pop sensations.
from all the boy bands.
we sing with them.
this is what real music sounds like.
this is where our childhood lies
this is where our childhood dies.
we wait.
we're waiting for our rides
but not really.
everyone waits for something different.
i wait for you to feel this
electric wave between us
that shakes me from my wake
and breaks my silhouette.
that tears off all these masks i hide behind,
that takes off every weight.
i feel so light i just might fall up
my wings are finally free.
they cover you and they cover me.
i wish i knew what you were waiting for.
i wish we didn't have to leave.
but you put bandages on my heart
some how.
an you make me feel like things
will always be okay.
