I Cried

by Allie   Feb 14, 2008

I cry for you,
almost every single night.
The pain is so great,
that I cannot smile with much delight!
Every night I see your face,
but yet I cannot reach you.
My dreams turn into nightmares,
as you fade from my reach.
Crying out for you,
the one that can't hear my calls,
the feeling of cutting again,
is just too strong.
A razor appears,
right out of midair.
My hand takes it,
but my brain is screaming,
"Don't you dare!"
You look up just in time,
Seeing that blade on my skin,
you begin to cry,
yet again.
Hurting you is the best I can do,
seeing you in misery is like a little game.
One tear isn't enough,
two tears won't come in first.
Three tears more,
and the waterfall just exploded.
My dream spirals into a nightmare,
I tumble and fall into the dark.
Waking up with a just a sweat,
it's only past midnight.
The tears are flowing from my eyes,
I still see your darling face.
Some of it becomes fuzzy,
I look around for your body.
You aren't near me,
so I burst into more tears.
Valentine's Day is one of those days,
where nothing comes up right...

^^^^ this line is what struck me. I can really relate to what your feeling. It hurts so much when the only way the person you care about notices you is when you're in agony. But I digress. This poem was simply amazing. I could feel the emotion just by reading it. you have a lot of talent. keep writing and goodl luck to you. 5/5
