Lost Valentine

by Kendra   Feb 15, 2008

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
You say you're over me,
But I'm not over you.

We had a good time,
I thought it was fate,
But you changed your mind,
Cupid came to late.

You bring her flowers,
Lay a kiss upon her cheek.
Her heart starts to melt,
Her knees become weak.

I watch from afar,
Crystal tears begin to fall,
I can feel my heart being ripped apart,
As I start to lose it all.

Valentine's Day is meant for lovers,
Not for silly girls with high hopes,
Who watch as boys swoon the pretty girls,
As the sad, lonely ones choke.

So, Cupid, I hope that you're happy,
Playing you're lovely part,
Because this girl is done trying,
Point your arrow at some other heart.
