Heavy Heart and Dead Set Lies

by End of Neverland   Feb 17, 2008

Heavy heart and dead set lies
Blackening eyes and cold shoulders,
This isn't what you expected.
Forgiving and forgetting
Isn't as easy as it seems.
Comparison to the end of the world
This is far worse than atom bombs
Or mass extinctions.
From the tears and the screams in silence undetected
To the blood on your wrist
Forgiving and forgetting
Is far from achievable

Falling angels and steadfast truths
You thought this would be easy.
You thought it would be okay.
So dance to these heartbeats
Getting slower by the second.
Spinning in circles,
Losing yourself in darkness.
This song flies around you like red butterflies.
You wish you were here with me
In this selfish world of power and strife.
I just might, just might
Be able to say I'm sorry
For one night.
