She hid it all

by InfiniteSilence   Feb 18, 2008

It's to hard tell by looking,
What she's really thinking,
She carries a pain deep within,
And at night she holds a blade to her skin.

Hoping and praying that it'll be end,
That she wont have to pretend,
Asking herself how it all started,
When was the day her heart parted ?

They all stare at her with amazement,
Thinking her smile is amusement,
When really she's dying,
And sick of crying.

She's seeked help before,
But every time it hurt a bit more,
She never understood it,
But she was an expert at hiding it.

She carries a fake smile each day,
Trying to think of another way,
To end the pain she held inside,
Trying to think of a better place to hide.

Crying and bleeding help a bit,
But still she wishes she could quit,
She wants someone to hold,
And keep her from the cold.

She's been alone,
Everyday walking one more step on her own,
Asking herself why everyone left her,
Wondering if it was all because of her.

Slowly dying inside,
Another tear she cannot hide,
Slips down her cheeks,
She's been doing this for weeks.

She's been hiding her fears,
For over 3 years,
And though she isn't know why,
She still is strong enough not to cry.
