The Pain of Love

by the dancing dreamer   Feb 18, 2008

I feel your pain,
I see your tears,
I wish I didn't know;
The hurt I see
Inside your eyes
That will not stop, but grow.

First loves can hurt,
And scar, then heal,
This much I know is true.
They make you laugh,
And cry, and scream,
And whisper "I love you."

They lift you up,
Then drop you quick,
They make you'd wish you'd die.
And without even
Trying to
They cause the tears you cry.

Love can hurt,
Or make you strong,
And help you through the night.
So don't give up,
And don't give in,
"The One" is worth the fight.

I agree, the one for you is the one you have to put so much work into. 5/5.
