Dance For Dreams

by HollywoodSmile   Feb 19, 2008

She dances in the street
nothing covers her bare, pale feet
the rain matts down her hair
she twirls and turns and doesnt care
on the coble stone ground
she spins round and round
her dress stained with mud
and what looks to be fresh blood

she dances in the field
her fairy wings, to us, unreal
the sun bounces off her curls
as she twists and turns and twirls
the grassy soil sprouting from patches of mud
grows back to life beneath her touch
her eyes show shes in a trance
but still and still she continues to dance

she dances on the beach
the sun so out of reach
blocked by clouds of gray
she dances here every day
even though she and this world are far apart
she dances to keep happiness in heart
her cheeks stained with salt tear drops
she will dance and dance and never stop
