Call Me

by Josh Barrett   Feb 20, 2008

I love the way you look,
the way you smile,
the way your hair blows,
but I haven't seen you in a while.

I gave you my number weeks ago,
I told you to call me,
and I guess you decided not to,
but I try to be what you want me to be.

I sit by the phone and wait,
every day and every night,
and I tell my parents to get away,
which leads into a fight.

At school everyday,
everyone wonders where you are,
and I wonder the most,
because I know you couldn't have gone far.

Tonight, I heard the phone,
and picked it up with a fast poise,
and it was from your number,
but it wasn't your voice.

I ended up at the hospital,
beside your death bed,
and "she loved you",
is all your mom said.

So, I cried the rest of the night,
and you is all I needed to see,
so I ended it to be with you,
because you answered my request to call me.
