Perfectly Unperfect

by Jeanette   Feb 21, 2008

Walk straight,
Stand tall,
Don't let anyone see you fall,

Put that big fake smile on,
Show them all what they want to see,
Blow it off for their sake

Pretend as if everything is alright,
Be the perfect child,
And prove them right

Be what they said you'd be,
Stay in school,
Make the grade,
And say what they want you to say

Don't shed a tear,
Don't cry for help,
That would just make life a "living hell"

Just pretend life isn't so bad,
And your not at all sad,

Give them what they want,
Even if it's pretending to be the child your not,

It'll be fine in the end,
As long as you live your life in sin,

Don't be you,
They don't know that girl,

Show them what they want to see,
And be the perfect child they think you should be.
