Life's Lessons

by I Want To Forget But All I Do Is Remember   Feb 23, 2008

You can't measure life by the number of breathes you take in,
It's just not fair because sometimes breathing hurts,
You need to measure life by the number of moments that have,
And will take your breathe away.

Life can be a pain in the ass,
But nobody ever told you life was easy,
If they did they were lying,
All they can do is promise it will be worth it.

You'll have so many regrets in life,
Don't dwell on them they aren't worth it,
Because in the end those regrets,
Will make you who you will become.

Never tell someone you love them,
Not unless you really mean it,
They could do something completely crazy,
Like maybe believe you even though EVERYONE warns them not to.

Good-byes always sting,
And those memories good or bad,
Will never take that pain away,
Nothing last forever.

There are so many things wrong about lying,
But the worst is the way it makes the person feel,
They feel as if they weren't worth the truth,
Which is such a lie.

When something seems too perfect,
Then take that chance in trusting it,
You can never be sure what I'll happen,
It could be as perfect as it looks.

Be careful when pushing someone out of your life,
Because eventually they will walk out themselves,
So make sure it's what you want,
Because once they leave they may never turn around.

At times pain will be your best friend,
Because it'll show you that your still alive,
When you can't feel anything that's when you know,
You've hit rock bottom all you can do is go up.

In a story or poem there will always be an end,
But when it comes to life an end means a new beginning,
So live it up and love with all your heart,
Because sooner or later the story of your life has to end...
