Across The Room

by Courtney Lynn   Feb 26, 2008

I'm looking at you from across the room.
No distance has ever seemed so far.
But what hurts is just knowing
you're in still in reach of my arms.

Across the room we're shooting eyes
though I'm not quiet sure what they say.
Maybe there saying nothing at all.
But it's a risk I'm willing to take.

Your eyes, I feel them
as if they are watching each move I make.
Across the room, you're breathing
but I have no breaths to take.

It's been so many months now,
And now here you are again.
But this time not as my lover.
Not even much of a friend.

Across the room I'm leaving,
and behind me you are too,
But tonight I'm going home alone.
So why do I wish I could follow you?
