This Charade

I don't understand where this is going
I do not see the meaning behind it all
Yet I'm going along with it
Just to see exactly where you drop the ball

I know that this can't go on much longer
I know the lies will come to light
I know that the story behind it all
Will cause a heart-breaking fight

I am just waiting to see what happens
Just waiting to see your reaction
When she shows up one day
Asking for your explanation

What will you tell her? That its all a lie?
Would you confess and beg for forgiveness?
What will you do with me? Throw me out?
I'm sticking around regardless

You have me captivated, I can't move
I can't say yes or no, I can't get over you
Thats why I am here, I have no choice
Just waiting, to see what else you can do

But I can feel the walls closing in
I can sense the pressure surrounding you
You are starting to slip up
And any second now, everything will fall on you

I feel that I was dragged into this
Yet I know I walked right in
I latched myself to your sorrows
And fed off our daily sin

My mind is foggy, confused
My eyes blinded by this pain
My body gives into you over and over
With nothing but despair to gain

Until the day she wakes
Until she realizes what has happened
I am waiting, for that freedom
For this enchantment to end

She is both our demise and savior
Our biggest fear yet we yearn for her
She is the only one that can stop this
Wipe the window off its blur

When she finds out we are through
And we both know thats best
Yet my body is still hanging on to you
And there's this terrible pain in my chest

My heart is breaking, yet I'm still here
Waiting and unable to understand
going along with this charade
