Confusion*

by Paige Lea   Feb 29, 2008

I saw him today
He was there, in the hall
His hand wrapped around hers
As they walked between the walls

She was laughing easily
As she flipped back her hair
And he watched her and smiled
With a look that was rare

But what he doesn't know
About the girl that he sees:
For him, she will never be
Good enough to please

But what am I saying?
I already had my shot
I shouldn't even care
I know he would not

So as I watched him walk
Through the black framed door
With his arm on her shoulder
My heart was so sore

But it's not like I'm unhappy
With the life that I have
I'm the luckiest in the world
And that's all that matters...right?

Not bad, I liked the beginning more than the ending though.
