In an Instant (It all Ends So Quickly)

by Cassidy   Feb 29, 2008

It hangs in a fine balance
swaying ever so slightly
from day to day

the screams through
these empty halls
are all you think about.

So afraid of what's to come
you can't change any of this.
just let it slowly eat you away.

on the outside you've regained your
composer
but deep in your core
you're screaming

in an instant everything you know
could change.

as the screaming seizes
the silent halls become
so fierce and empty.

Today it seemed the
screaming ended sooner,
the air got thinner
and deep within your core
the nightmares you
were screaming for
ended you.
