Desperate and young

by The Girl From Yesterday   Mar 1, 2008

Desperate and young,
A teenager dies.
He couldn't handle the pain,
He got sick of the lies.

Kids are so happy,
When they are young.
Always running around,
Their world has just begun.

He only tries to please you,
All through out the day.
But you say he is worthless,
He is just in your way.

As the kid grows up,
He begins to feel hate.
Before you know it,
It will be too late.

Headphones blaring,
Drowning out the pain.
He starts to give up,
No hope remains.

He drags a shiny razor,
Along his blood-stained wrists.
Begging God to forgive him,
This wasn't his wish.

He was tired of pretending,
No longer did he care.
He just wanted someone he could trust,
Someone to be there.

So many people die,
So desperate and young.
It is the world that kills them,
The nightmare has begun.

Edited 10/21/08 I take that back. It's not the world that kills you. People don't make you want to die; you make yourself want to die.
