Girl, we've been through so much
from death
to double dutch
and whenever i think of you
i think of how, on one foot,
i have your left shoe
i wish forever
that i could see you more
and we could hang together
and girl, we're almost at ten years!
we've made it through with
smiles and a few tears
and we've only got a few scratches
on our hearts
from our childish matches
and that tire swing
out on the mesa
it's my favorite place, my favorite thing
our middle of the night jokes
that drunk hobo
poor old bloke
we've watched movies
stayed up all day and night
and spilled a few smoothies
it is always in my mind
how, when i'm with you,
i can feel how you shine
and you make me smile
even that time you made fun of me
for liking kyle
and i confess
between you and me
we're experts in the art of MESS
but, jess,
you're my favorite kind of mess

jess, you're one of the bestests! you're always there, and for that i love you. you're one of my sisters forever. butterfly kisses and bear hugz
