Two Old Friends

by shadow   Mar 2, 2008

How would you like to be my best friend?
We can go on holding hands till the very end
Now old on tight and dont ever let me go
The ride will be rough as you will soon know

Some days it will feel like there is endless pain
When the hard parts are over you won't be the same
But together we can get through the worst of it all
Just remember we won't always be able to stop a fall

Who ever gets out alive won't still be sane
And soon everyday will bring nothing but rain
No more sunny days of hope for you and me
But instead we must face this world of agony

We will be born hand in hand into this life
Knowing nothing at all about all of its strife
Seemingly innocent as we make our way through
Thinking that everyday will always be something new

And as we grow older and our eyes begin to see
We learn that life was never what it was suppose to be
And all of our hopes and all of our dreams
Fly out the window in a matter of minutes, it seems

Then when we are both old and lying on our death beds
Still wishing for the best in our old crazy heads
But as we never learn ,that's not how things work here
Seconds before we die is the only time things are clear

Wow, this is really great, your writing is getting to be well explanatory, and interesting. Great Job, 5/5

To be honest, I didn't really like this piece on the hwole, but I did really like the last two stanzas, especially the fifth one, because it had a nice little flow.
