Waiting

by Jerilyn   Mar 4, 2008

I'm waiting for him
I want to talk
I'm tired of hearing
The clicking Clock

Impatient I am
Wanting to hear his voice
I have to wait
I have no choice

Tapping my fingers
Thoughts are racing
Any longer
And I'll start pacing

Weary from
A day of distress
Hearing his voice
is truly a bless

I'm Tired, I'm cranky
He won't care
He'll sweet-talk me
Until I'm acting quite fair

The phone is ringing!
I rush when I hear
I answer it
Hello, my dear

It's a love
So deep and right
I've waited this long
To talk all night
