It's Over Now

I knew someday it would have to end,
I knew eventually I would have to go back,
To calling you my friend.
It's killing me that now that day has come.

It's breaking my heart,
To walk away from you.
I'm trying my best to appear strong,
But it's hard when part of me says.

That in your arms is where I belong,
I still love you with all my heart,
That's not going to change,
Even though we're apart.

You were my first love and my first kiss
There are so many of our special time
I'm going to miss,
And remember forever.

All the words I ever said or wrote,
Still hold true within inside me.
But for now from a distance,
Is where I'll be loving you.

Now what I hold are the memories we barely made.
They will be inside my heart forever.
No one will ever be like you,
But it's over between us, now and forever.

    Great write, I just have one Question. Is he still alive or dead?

    I know it's a very blunt question and you don't have to answer it. The poem seem to talk of seperation and at the end you said R.I.P. So I was just curious.

    This poem is really good. I liked the bit that says
    "You were my first love and my first kiss

    I'm going to miss,"
    I can feel the pain you are trying to show.

    I can relate to this a lot. It's sad and the emotions pour out of the poem as the reader is reading. It's nice that you wrote it in dedication to sometone. :) I'm sorry for your loss. -Amazing poem.
