Slashes of Red

by Amy   Mar 5, 2008

Slashes of red
Cover my arm
It's my little secret
No cause for alarm

Slashes of red
Fill up my heart
I try to resist
But I can't once I start

Slashes of red
Consume my soul
Although it looks deadly
Life is the goal

Slashes of red
Destroy my skin
It's an uphill battle
I can't seem to win

Slashes of red
Bring calm and peace
Don't try to understand
The powerful release

Slashes of red
Are part of my life
I only find comfort
When I hold the knife

Slashes of red
I want this to end
But until it does
The razor's my friend
