Memories of a Day

by Indian Comma Bean   Mar 6, 2008

Black clouds hover,
Never to reveal
Sunny song-filled days...

I sit dull, unnoticed.
Pencil grinding on coarse sheets,
Hair dangling over bloodshot eyes,
When will I ever realize...

Depression,
Black poison coursing
Through my cold mind,
Harsh thoughts thrive.

Memories,
Flashing to and from,
crystalline droplets form,
Nothing more then pain.

Love,
The knife within my back,
Heart leaking; Draining,
The thorns of my rose.

These words,
Meaningless without you,
Unread by to few,
The only thing I live for...

Black clouds hover,
Never to reveal
The sunny song-filled days
I remember spending alone with you...

    Wow...
This is simply breathtaking from the beginning to the end. Every stanza is meaningful and deeply touching. I can relate to this fantastic piece in so many ways. Min-blowing poem. I like the atmosphere that you created in each stanza and your excellent wording.
You expressed emotions excellently, too, I could really feel everything that you described through the piece while I was reading it.
I can't chose my favorite part, every stanza holds something deep and priceless.
    Keep writing!
