You're Killing Me

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Mar 7, 2008

Ever since she showed up
You've changed.
You barely notice me at all anymore
And treat me like I'm nothing
When you do notice.
What happened to that guy;
That friendly, playful guy
With those naughty blue eyes?
What happened to those feelings
We once shared?
That hunger for each other's embrace?
Why did you allow her
To change you like this?
I miss who you used to be.

Now, tonight,
You decide that I'm 'good enough'
To provide you with some
Pleasure and entertainment.
You've been avoiding me
For so long now,
It broke my heart,
And yet I still longed for you,
Hoping that you'd still want me,
That you were still attracted to me.
I want so bad
To spend the night with you,
To fall asleep by your side,
Just to be with you.

But what happens in the morning?
Will you pretend that nothing happened
And act as though I don't exist?
Will this night just be
Another scratch on your bedpost,
Another notch on your belt?
You're killing me!
I don't know what it is
That you want!
Is it her?
Is it me?
I wish you would decide
Because the pain of not knowing
Will be the death of me!

10 years of not knowing what is going on triggered me, if I ask I get a gold shoulder. The next moment I must be in the mood just because she is. Doesn't work like that.
