Internal Conflict

by Jini   Mar 8, 2008

Neon colors dripping slowly,
gathering neatly into a puddle.
All around me things exploding,
leaving the world in piles of rubble.

Discrimination haunts my every move,
locking me up inside myself.
Longing to confide in someone,
instead only increasing my stealth.

Splatters of hate, lines of sorrow,
placed in perfect alignment.
A smudge of violence, a splash of lies,
creates a cage of confinement.

Solitude overwhelms me,
leaving me alone in the dark.
I run away, I try to escape,
for fear of caustic remark.
