The Biggest Lie

by Kitten   Mar 9, 2008

Look anybody.
Do you see what I'm holding?
Can you look deep inside me and tell me what you see?
Tell me why I'm here holding this.
But I know, deep inside I feel it.
This small thing is my judgment.
My ticket in or out.
My next action, the next second, will decide.
It meets my wrist and with a deep, tense breath, they fall in love.
Every day, every second my body yearns.
Pulling my heart onto a different path.
Within minutes, my entire body is relaxed and happy.
This wonderful thing has kidnapped my soul
My world will grow.
My happiness will grow's
With each pass of the blade

Wow, this was actually quite good. [though a little too short for me]
I can really relate to this poem, which is one reason why I liked it so much.

"It meets my wrist and with a deep, tense breath, they fall in love."
^this line right here was one of my absolute favorites, and I loved how you didn't write the poem in a sad way, but more in a happy way if you know what I mean.
