Can't you see
You can't do this to me
I won't let you
Not again
I will walk away this time
I didn't before
But I know better now
I won't let you hurt me
It's been to long
The pain is still here from before
I can't go through it again
If I do I will die
And it's not yet my time
I will walk away
This time I will leave
Just please don't say those words again
Those three little words
Those words that trapped me once before
Don't say 'You need me'
For I know it isn't true
But if you say it I'll be trapped
And I know this time
I won't make it through
So please just let me go
Let me walk away
Let me live
Don't make me die
It's not yet my time
So please just please
Let me go free
Don't tease me with your shine
Or sharpen your blade
I'm not going back to you
I've moved on
I don't need you any more
I'm stronger now
I can walk away from you
I can walk away from the blade
From the pain
From the blood
I can walk away
I will walk away
I have to walk away
If I don't
I know that this time I will not live
So I must walk away
It may be hard
But as long as you do not call to me
I will make it
I will live
I will move on
And I will walk away

    *Those were my favorites lines. I can relate to that. I love the short syntax. Every line you use has its own emotion. Each line works with the other to form a very deep and heartfelt poem. I love the diction and how well this flows. Nice work. Nik*

    This is fantastic .. Very heartfelt , it almost made me cry . I love the small staments that you made so powerful . This is definately one of my favorites . I usually break poems down and suggest stuff to fix .. But I can't do that here . Awesome :) 5/5

    Wow I've been there before..i can relate to a lot of your poems. Its amazing how two strangers who've never seen each other can go through the feelings of pain in a related manner.
