Addicted

You did your best
You kept me away form drugs
You protected me from alcohol
You kept me from what could be addicting
But you forgot one addiction
Pain
And guess what, I found it
And now I'm addicted to it
I don't do what I do out of sorrow
Or depression
It's all because it's an addiction
I need to feel the pain
I need to see that blade sliding across my skin
I'm addicted to the pain
And it's an addiction nothing can break
