This Game We Call Life

by Rose   Mar 10, 2008

Life is a game we all must play.
Who is to live and who is to die?
That is not for us to decide.

No one ever wins this game.
Those who win are those who lose.
And those who lose are those who win.
But who is to win and who is to lose?
That is for the dice to decide.

So let's toss the dice,
And see what they decide,
For luck is a horse
To ride like any other.

It's time to roll the dice.
I'm ready to die
But the question is,
Are you?

This is delightfully creepy! I just wonder if you intended it that way or if it was an exercise in explaining away how futile life can sometimes seem.
