The Chronicles II

by Rich   May 21, 2004

I used to believe.
I used to be free.
But the sky went dark,
And now I can't breathe.

A soul in a shell,
Locked in a cell,
I used to live here;
Now I'm dead in this hell.

That's a past long gone,
Now I live in the dark.
In the shadows I watch you;
Lost and alone.
A spectral presence,
A ghost in the mist,
Without a body or voice,
Just an essence.
I melt with the black,
In the night's sweet embrace.
I only plough forwards;
I never turn back.

A life of torture,
And now I'm awake.
A shadow in the gloom;
NightStalker.
