The depths of silence

by David Ensor   Mar 10, 2008

Silence has a way of silencing me,
sees through things i just cant see.
brings me to realize the depths of a soul,
helps me experience life as a whole.
product of love,
but love it can slay.
warms like a glove,
on a cold winters day.
still it can chill,
the warmest of hearts.
cause hatred to fill,
your inner most parts.

Another amazing poem.. i love your style of writing.. short but to the point and really powerful and full of emotion.. I love the way you describe silence.. it's true.. something as simple as silence can be such a powerful thing and can mean so many different things.. INteresting topic to write about but you did an amazing job on it. Excellent job once again. Keep it up! =) 5/5.

Ooo I like it. :) All you need to do is fix it up a bit by capitalizing each word beginning a new stanza and capitalize the word i and I think it could be five rated quality. The only thing I thought was odd was how you changed the rhyming scheme from 1,2,1,2, to 1,1,2,2. I hope you know what I mean I'm sure you will. For now I'll leave it voteless in case you do want to change it up to get the vote. I recommend keeping the rhyming the same though. It wouldn't be the same poem if you changed that. Even if I have a poem I don't like I keep it. Even if it sucks I won't change it because that makes a new poem.
