Alone and Afraid

by Jessica   Mar 12, 2008

Here I lay alone and afraid
I'm torn apart a little more each and every day.
Oh boy how I hit the ground when you let go
But I must admit, I am forever in you debt.
You taught me of cruelty, and what it really means to be ignorant
If only I knew before I grew so close to you
That you would drop me before I had one bit of a clue.
Did you believe my heart could be restored
just thrown out and ignored?
The bruises you left me with, haven't yet cured
And still I have much more pain to endure.
