Someone to Love Me

Have you ever looked at a pretty girl
And said, "I wish that was me"?
Or seen a hot guy and thought,
"If only him and I could be"?

Maybe if I don't eat
For a week or so,
I could have a great body
Like hers to show.

And what if I change
Who I am?
Maybe then I'll have
That hunk as my man.

I could have my face done -
It'll be a 'new' me,
And soon that old, fat, ugly one
Will cease to be.

If only it were that simple
Then I would be loved,
But I think I'd have a better chance
Of the rain turning to blood.

Why do they make it so hard
For someone like me?
I too deserve to be loved,
Can you not see?

All I want is someone
To love who I am,
Someone who won't judge me
For that for which I stand.

Is it too much to ask
That someone love me?
Am I pathetic for even considering
That I could be pretty?

One day I hope to find him,
Maybe not in this world,
But I'll find the man
Who will love this hideous girl.

    Man and woman are sitting with the same thing. Looks and money are the biggest problems. Everyone wants it. But like I said in my previous comment, look at the inside before you look at the outside. The inside is priceless, the outside is the bonus.

    I used to think that all the time and I still do
    I know its SO true
    I look at this one girl i know
    It bugs me but when I think about my ugliness I just think about thats the way it was supposed to happen maybe you will find that ONE guy sooner or later:) Peace(L)
